Veterans Day 2022 is here and from all of us at Marshall County EMS to those who served we thank you for your service to our community and country.

Per the Veterans’ Administration, the first celebration using the term Veterans Day occurred two years after World War II. This was in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1947.
Raymond Weeks, a veteran of the war, organized “National Veterans Day,” to honor all veterans. Events included a parade and other festivities.
The event was held on November 11. At the time the day was designated Armistice Day.
